Health care providers are increasingly suggesting that their patients look to meditation and other integrative techniques to improve their health, according to a report released Monday by Harvard Medical School and published in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Many medical centers and institutions, in fact, are providing such services themselves.
The ABC News Medical Unit heard from 31 such institutions. They are listed below by state, along with some of their integrative offerings.

California Pacific Medical Center provides guided imagery and visualization for patients preparing to undergo difficult procedures, as well as yoga, meditation, Qigong and tai chi to help patients recover from surgery.

University of California Los Angeles Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
The Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center offers yoga, health education and tai chi. Additionally, the Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) offers guided meditations on its website.
University of California San Diego Health Sciences, San Diego, Calif.
UCSD provides mindfulness-based stress relief for cancer patients.
COLORADO
National Jewish Health, Denver, Colo.
National Jewish offers hypnosis and biofeedback to help those with vocal cord dysfunction, and is starting a study that looks at the effectiveness of biofeedback for asthma.
The Dorcy Cancer Center at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, Pueblo, Colo.
The Dorcy Cancer Center has been providing "healing arts" classes for cancer patients for more than four years. The center also offers yoga, tai chi, low impact aerobics and dance, art, creative movement, meditation and self-healing massage.
DELAWARE
Christiana Care Health System, New Castle, Del.
The Christiana Care Health System offers a Cancer Mind, Body and Spirit Wellness Program, as well as a prenatal yoga class.
ILLINOIS
Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill.
Parkinson's patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital can take advantage of music and drama therapy, as well as ballet, yoga and art classes. The hospital also provides meditation services for those with insomnia.
KANSAS
The University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.
The University of Kansas Hospital offers yoga for atrial fibrillation patients.
KENTUCKY
Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast Holistic Center, Louisville, Ky.
The Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast Holistic Center offers a variety of mind/body and integrative treatment modalities including hypnotherapy, healing hands, aromatherapy and more.
